Disposable addresses convert once and rot immediately: trial abuse, fake signups and giveaway farming all arrive through throwaway providers. They rarely bounce loudly — they just never engage — so they poison engagement metrics silently while looking like growth.
This detector checks every address against a curated throwaway-provider blocklist, folded across subdomains so provider variants can't hide. The whole check is an offline lookup: no network request of any kind.
Quarantine, don't auto-delete
New throwaway services appear constantly, so no blocklist is complete — and a flagged address occasionally belongs to a real user borrowing a temporary inbox. Route flagged addresses to re-confirmation (double opt-in, one-time code) instead of deleting blindly, and watch the flagged share per source to spot incentive abuse early.
